1. If you could go back to your first day at Hydreight and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?

Understanding that the compassionate heart of a nurse and the analytical mind of a business owner will sometimes conflict. Ultimately, it’s about being able to sleep at night knowing you’re doing the right thing. I may not always be making the most profit, but I can rest easy knowing I’m acting in my clients’ best interest.  

 

2. If Hydreight had a “Hall of Fame,” what achievement would get you inducted?

It’s a toss-up. Either being the BA that everyone at Hydreight HQ knows by name or the one who can’t help but catch every typo and formatting error. My Type A tendencies keep things polished! 🤦🏼‍♀️

 

3. What’s your “pump-up” song before seeing a client or handling a busy day?

Not a song but Diet Dr. Pepper is my go-to energy boost! (If I could put this in an IV, I would!) Some days, it’s the only thing keeping me moving.

4. What’s the wildest place you’ve ever done an IV drip?
At a rock climbing gym during a competition. It was a first and definitely memorable, there was SO much chalk in the air!
5. What’s your “secret weapon” for turning a first-time client into a loyal, repeat customer?
Authenticity. I genuinely connect with my clients. Often pulling up a chair and chatting during their infusion. That connection, those shared life stories, help people feel seen and valued. Many have told me our clinic feels unlike any other because we prioritize those human moments. This keeps them coming back again and again.
6. What’s one small daily habit that makes a BIG difference in your success?
Creating a welcoming and serene environment before the first client walks in. I arrive early, open the curtains, start the aromatherapy, and play calming music. It grounds me and sets the tone for a smooth, balanced day; for both clients and staff.
7. What’s been your most “OMG I can’t believe this is my job” moment since working with Hydreight?

The first time my husband and I left for the cabin. We happened to check our security cameras and saw all four infusion chairs filled with our team working flawlessly. I got goosebumps. I had built something that made a real difference in our clients lives and it was thriving, even without me physically present. It sort of felt like an out of body experience.

8. If I had to pick one thing to focus on that would skyrocket my business in the next 90 days, what would it be?

Posting more consistently on social media. I know the impact it can have, but I’ll be the first to admit it’s not my strong suit!

9. What’s the one marketing hack or business trick that made you go, "Wow, why didn’t I do this sooner?
Investing in Canva Pro and using AI tools like ChatGPT to help craft content and generate post ideas. It has streamlined the creative process and saved me countless hours.

 

10. What’s the biggest mindset shift you had to make to go from just getting by to thriving in this business?
Letting go of comparisons. What works for someone else might not be right for me. Staying true to my vision and creating something unique has been far more fulfilling (and successful) than following someone else's blueprint.
11. What’s the best piece of advice you ever got from another successful person in this industry?
You have to do what’s best for your business, even when it’s uncomfortable. Sometimes that means saying no to partnerships that don’t align, or having tough conversations. It’s not about being unkind, it’s about being clear and committed to your vision.
12. When you hit a rough patch, what keeps you pushing forward instead of giving up?
Knowing that I’ve committed fully to this path. After leaving my full-time nursing job last fall to run Driftless full-time, quitting is not an option. Even when I faced a major health setback, I had to adapt and keep going. This business is the hardest and most stressful thing I’ve ever done, but also the most rewarding.
